Hokkaido, the north island of Japan, is one of the snowiest places on earth. The town and resort of Niseko receives 15 meters of snow during the winter months and boasts 4 major ski resorts. The variety of terrain you can access both inbounds and through the gate system is limitless. We will start this adventure with a visit to the world famous Sapporo Snow Festival. This cultural event is a spectacular way to begin the trip and will blow you away. Huge snow sculptures that have taken months to build provide jaw-dropping scenes. |
