If there was ever a list of must things to do in life, then skiing in New Zealand is sure to be on that list. Heli-skiing might make the list as well and a ski trip that combines the two would be outstanding!
International Mountain Adventures is offering a Heli-ski trip into the heart of the Southern Alps. This trip is must do in the world of ski adventures. Come ski with Jill and Ross on the south island of New Zealand, with a chance a of a life time Heli-ski trip with Harris Mountain Heli-Ski (HMH).
The trip is based in the south island town of Wanaka. We will ski at Treble Cone or Cardrona the first day for a warm up and go heli-skiing the next four days with Harris Mountain Heli-Ski.
HMH says:
“The ultimate South Pacific helicopter skiing adventure. Only HMH can take you into this terrain. Experience the majestic Southern Alps - untracked powder fields, massive peaks, stunning valleys and challenging chutes.“
Your HMH Multi Day Program includes:

daily overview
Day 1. Everyone arrives in New Zealand and meets in Queenstown. Jill and Ross will pick you up and transport you to Wanaka.
Day 2. We figured a day to get the legs back under you was a good idea. Wanaka has two ski resorts close by to choose from--Treble Cone and Cardrona. We will ski at one for the day.
Days 3 - 6. Heli-skiing with HMH.
From HMH, Heli-skiing works like this:
* Early in the morning we check the weather and then we contact you to confirm that heli-skiing is on.
* We'll then pick you up and drive you to the staging area where you're introduced to your pilot and guide.
* A safety briefing is given covering avalanche transceivers, helicopter and mountain safety, then you fly off to the first heli-ski run.
* All groups meet for an alpine buffet lunch with time to relax.
* The afternoon is back to the ultimate - more heli-ski runs
Day 7. Fly out either to explore New Zealand more or come home to summer in the States.
